Mexico’s “only” female Tequila master distiller, Maria Theresa Lara’s unique background led to her first Casa Herradura role. First as Guadalajara city’s water quality manager, then in chemical control for a pharmaceutical company, she performed since 1987 as a lab manager. A number of promotions followed, and she was eventually named master distiller in 2009.

Lara’s unwavering curiosity about how far she can push the limits of tequila’s flavor profiles has led to some of the brand’s most popular and unique products.
